Join us on Wednesday the 20th of November for our breakfast networking session with Jayben Group’s general manager Chris Johnson.
Jayben Group has an amazing story from a small base in Cooee. Jayben initially produced drive shafts for the agricultural industry, and, since then, has branched into heavy mining equipment manufacturing, developed a range of street sweepers for the Australian market and, most recently, was involved in the design and manufacture of specialised drone equipment in conjunction with Insitu Pacific (a subsidiary of Boeing).
GM Chris would like to make an impact in our local community by creating excellent career opportunities locally and contributing to the legacy of Tasmanian Advanced Manufacturing. This can be achieved by mentoring local people to solve unique engineering and manufacturing challenges. Finding ways to put people first in a world dominated by technology megatrends is very important.
