On Wednesday the 28th of February, Interim CEO of Burnie Works Jim Cavaye will talk to us about Burnie Works’ plans for 2024.
Burnie Works is a collective impact initiative contributing to positive change in the areas of education, employment, justice and wellbeing for children, families and young people in the Burnie community. As a former Burnie Works board member, Jim Cavaye was appointed Interim CEO of Burnie Works in early November 2023. With a background in regional community development, Jim has a passion for rural and regional communities. His previous roles involved managing large service delivery, education and research programs in regions, with his latest role being Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Tasmania in the Cradle Coast region.
